Today my father and I made a tire swing. We went to the car place called Firestone and got a truck tire. Then we went to Home Depot and got 60 feet of rope. When we got home my father drilled holes in the tire so when it rains it wont fill up with water. Then we began to make it. My father took the rope and attached it to a string he got over the tree we were putting it in and used it like a pulley. Once the rope was over the branch we tied it on the tire. We accidentally hung it so the holes wouldn’t let the water leak out. We had to drill more. Then I watched as my father put zip locks on the rope and burn it together so it wouldn’t come untied. It is really fun to swing on. My hands are sore because I swung too much while hanging on the rope.
